Welcare carries on with its valuable work of assisting families in need, with the aid of Grants Churches financial support, highly qualified staff and wonderful volunteers. The volunteers help with crèches – admin. Harvest and Toy sorting and much more.
After advertising, a Senior Family Support Worker will be starting at the end of April. The Working Together with You Presentations are still in place – next one is on 29th April.
Elizabeth Gregory organises the Prayer Scheme and prayers are requested for wise judgements on all types of situations – evictions, illnesses and bereavements. Also thanks for all the good things that happen.
On 9th February Shrove Tuesday – Welcare House held an early morning (7.30a.m.) Pancake breakfast for parents and young children. A variety of healthy toppings were available – fresh pineapple, cranberries, cheese, lemon and more! It was very successful.
Wednesday 23rd March: Lent lunch at Welcare House which included home-made soup, rolls, Tea, coffee, and calorific cake. Prayers and Reading on the feeding of the five thousand. Lots of Laughter – an enjoyable interlude.
19th May: a special service of thanksgiving at Timperley Gardens.
